Album: Sufjan Stevens, "Come On Feel The Illinoise". Diverse, odd, infectious, brilliant.
Song: "Casimir Pulaski Day" from the above album. Doesn't end tidily like most songs by Christians do. This one stops with the author still struggling and asking questions, which is where I live a good portion of my life too.
Movie: "Hotel Rwanda". Powerful and convicting. Why didn't we do anything? I was only 18 at the time, but there will be another Rwanda in my lifetime and I wonder if I'll be ready to respond. Perhaps Darfur is it, right now.
