The beginning. The Oasis Refugee Ministry Center in Traiskirchen, Austria. Summer of 2000. Naomi was on a short-term missions trip. John was just beginning a long-term missionary commitment.
After a couple years of regular emailing, it became clear that God was up to something. We entered into a courtship to explore the possibility of marriage--a courtship that was a little challenging due to living on two different continents! We married in May 2003, nearly 3 years to the day after we had first met.
Over the years, our family has expanded to include two of the greatest little boys ever! Brennan James changed our lives forever in December 2007. Owen Nathanael burst onto the scene in April 2010. While parenthood has certainly brought its share of challenges, the hugs, laughs, and smiles these two bring to our world makes everything worth it.
