We ventured out this weekend for a little family fun and socializing. We headed to Norfolk to visit the Virginia Zoo and connect with a friend of John's, Bart Irwin, and his family. Bart discipled John for two years during college and had a definite impact on his spiritual formation. We had a great time hanging out with them and experiencing the zoo. Brennan loved the lions and riding on the zoo train. Owen just loved trying to run through the zoo at top speed; therefore, he spent much of his zoo trip strapped in his stroller!
On a side note, we realized that this past Saturday marked four years in Virginia! We are definitely thankful to be living in such a great state!
Brennan was pretty tired by the end of the trip!

So glad that you guys got to go. Sorry that we could not host a sleep over, but glad you got to catch up with other old friends too.
