Now that Brennan is crawling, Esther's been getting a workout as well! His favorite thing to go after, other than Mama and Daddy, is Esther. Since she's never really been around kids before and is just starting to get used to the idea of a little person invading her space, it's not necessarily her favorite thing in the world to be chased around by a little one who just wants to love on her. Unfortunately, his way of showing love to her is by grabbing her fur (we're teaching him how to pet instead of grab and pull) and shrieking with pleasure at the sight of her. Esther has learned to retreat to places that Brennan can't get to yet--our bed, the back of the couch, the top of the stairs when he is downstairs. We are hopeful that one day Brennan and Esther will be friends, but for now, Brennan rejoices in her mere presence and Esther tolerates his existence in that special way only a cat can.
